PhD Thesis Submission
All PhD scholars are required to submit the final version of their thesis to the Library via email. Fill out the Form after submission. Follow the below guidelines carefully before submitting.
Submission Guidelines

All Research Scholars are required to submit a soft copy of their thesis in PDF format, strictly following the prescribed file naming convention and file-splitting guidelines. Submissions that do not comply with the specified format may not be accepted.

The submitted thesis will be initially uploaded to the Nalanda Digital Repository and will remain under embargo for a maximum period of 12 months. Upon completion of the embargo period, the thesis will be uploaded to the Shodhganga Repository. If a further extension of the embargo period is required, the scholar must email the request to the Central Library before the embargo period ends, with a copy marked to the concerned supervisor(s), if applicable.
By uploading your work to the Nalanda Institutional Repository of National Institute of Technology Calicut (NITC) you are granting non-exclusive rights to NITC to retain, use and distribute the work as per its policies.

Scholars must send all the required documents in PDF format to:

The subject line of the email should be: PhD Thesis Files for Shodhganga and Nalanda Repository

    The submission must include:

    1. Complete Thesis (as searchable PDF)
    2. Chapter-wise Split Thesis Files (PDF)
    3. Plagiarism Report (excluding self-plagiarism)(PDF)
    4. Please fill out the Form after submission.

    An example of split files along with chapter wise naming is given below:

    Kindly note that each file name should begin with a serial number like 01_title.pdf, 02_prelim pages.pdf, 80_recommendation, 90_plagiarism_report, etc.

    *Plagiarism report (excluding self-plagiarism) is compulsory for submission.

    *(Note: Add more files as per requirement, follow the Thesis files/chapters order.)

    • Preliminary Pages: Title Page, Declaration, Dedication, Certificate, Acknowledgement, Table of Contents, List of Tables, List of Figures, etc.
    • Annexures File: Bibliography, References, Questionnaires, Maps, Details of Publications, Appendices, etc.
    • Recommendation File: Title Page together with the Conclusion/final chapter of the Thesis.
