INVITATION FOR SUMMER INTERNSHIP AT DIGITAL LIBRARY(CENTRAL LIBRARY)
NALANDA Digital Library of the institute invites applications from current Second Year B.Tech. students (2021 admission) of NIT Calicut for a summer internship of four weeks. The main goal of the internship is to make all necessary modifications in the existing open source library management software (KOHA), required for smooth functioning of the Central Library. After completion of internship, the students will be given a certificate to acknowledge their service to the library. No honorarium will be paid for this internship. Hostel accommodation support will be extended, subject to the approval of the concerned authority.
The technical expertise required for the post includes good programming skills and experience in installing and supporting Linux based machines. After successful completion of the internship, the candidate may get a chance to work as a Student Administrator for one year in NALANDA. This post carries an honorarium of Rs. 5000 per semester.
